Also to give visibility to female talent every year in concerts and festivals that showcase it (She”s the Fest and Nusa festival).

CAT POWER

Vocalist, songwriter, musician and producer Cat Power (Chan Marshall), has this year released her new album, Covers, which includes completely re-imagined songs by Frank Ocean, Bob Seger, Lana Del Rey, Jackson Browne, Iggy Pop, The Pogues, Nick Cave and The Replacements, among others, plus an updated rendition of her own song “Hate” from the album The Greatest (2006), re-titled “Unhate” for the occasion. In all of them, Marshall imbues the songs with a creative uniqueness that rivals his original work. Another step in the career of a cult artist who has been on stage since 1990, defying genres and conventions. His legacy has had an impact on the work of a wide range of contemporary musical artists.

SANDRA MONFORT

He is accompanied on this special night by the Valencian composer, guitarist and singer Sandra Monfort. Graduated from the ESMUC (Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya) with the speciality of Classical Guitar. She began her stage career as a composer and performer in the Valencian music group “Xaluq”. He is currently a member of the group “Marala” and is launching his solo project Niño Reptil Ángel, an album that crosses tradition with the caress of electronic music and poetry.
